Extreme Scarf Alert!

I am on a two week vacation as of today, and I am going away tomorrow, so for the next week, I won’t be updating; therefore, here is a post filled with pics of a cool element of manteau style- the extreme scarf.

Below are three great examples of how a silk scarf can highlight a “cone head” style hairstyle. The hair is swept up off the forehead and pinned up into a tall cone, and the scarf is tied loosely to hold up the hairstyle and showcase it to the world.

Note how the scarf is tied around the throat. To do this, take a silk rectangle scarf, fold it diagonally, and tie the edges low (on your chest), so that the scarf lifts up. I wear it over my shoulders (not on the head) in this fashion, so that the neck is exposed, and the knot hangs down loosely on the chest. You can also lift up the back of the scarf (what I call “lifted” and “raised up” scarf). Unless you really want to shock people, though, refrain from putting it all the way up, no matter how much hair it shows. Over here, people are not ready for this yet. I have only done this when I was out wearing this style, and it started raining, and I happened to have no umbrella with me.

This girl looks like Amy Winehouse in a really tight, short (“American”) manteau holding a bunch of flowers and rocking an extreme scarf over her beehive hairstyle!

Love the extreme scarf lifting up the “cone head” hair in the center, and the girl on the left wears a different style of scarf- the “hair out the front and back” style, which is also cool.

Pink hair matching a pink block scarf! How rebellious is that? Oh, I adore it!!!
