Seven Allstar Manteaus 2009-2010 Part I

You have seen the classic Seven Allstar manteaus from 2007-08 here and here. Now, it’s time to present the 2009-2010 manteaus from Seven Allstar (the last coats featured on the site before their Gallery page stopped working).

We begin with a classic military-style black coat decorated with a multitude of zippers, grommets, and pockets. I think it is very cool, with a nice gothic vibe to it.

This stylish dress manteau is made of soft black fabric and is decorated with a ruffle at the bottom of the hem and on the sleeves and a beautiful peacock embroidery on the skirt!

I love this baggy black dress manteau, which is composed of two parts- the fabric hoodie top and the grommet-encrusted bottom with a sexy corset neckline. The drawstrings at the side of the skirt are meant to make the manteau more or less fitted to the curves of the body. Wish I had something like this….

This short-sleeved hoodie coat features many grommets at the neck and on the skirt and a small rhinestone decoration on the side. The coolest part of the whole thing? Undoubtedly, it is the bubble-hem skirt (more can be found here) which can also be regulated by drawstrings.

The brown dress coat features some interesting patterns, complete with gold studs.

This coat just looks like a long soft grey hoodie to me…..probably the least interesting of all the coats I saw.

This is a soft fabric trench coat with a tall collar, many zippers on the sleeves and sides, and a stylish square buckle belt.

A soft, sky blue tunic with an asymmetric hem is decorated with embroidered flowers and a high neckline.

A beautiful purple tunic with a hood features some interesting embroidery as well….

I want this coat! It’s a stylish brown trench with big brass military buttons and a huge faux fur black collar. Great for winter and so stylish, too!

Part II coming tomorrow!

The Classic Manteau-Hat Ensemble

I think this outfit looks terrific and very classy! The long red trench-coat style coat is closely fitted to the body and slit on the sides. It is worn with white flowing pants and white shoes. The huge straw hat adds mysteriousness and glamor to the outfit. Here, the hat is worn with a red silk scarf underneath, but in my version of the style, the hat is worn on the head and the scarf is draped around the neck and shoulders!

Tweed Short Sleeve Coat on a Boat

Hey, it rhymes! Anyway, I am back, and I had a good birthday. One item I got as a present from my boyfriend is actually manteau style-related- it’s this. This octagonal pattern is a very classic Middle Eastern pattern, dating all the way to the Babylonian empire, and also has meaning in Sufism. To me, it just looks hot with my manteaus and gives them an edgy feel! (I am including a link to a crackdown banner I made of a manteau decorated with a huge octagon belt buckle here.)

Anyway, in this pic, the girl is wearing a short-sleeved, grey tweed trench coat over a black long sleeved top and a black knit scarf. I think short-sleeved trenches are gorgeous and can be worn with a variety of different long-sleeve colored tops underneath, though I do not own any short sleeved trench coats myself. Her jeans are tucked into tall furry black boots, which is always a great look for winter and fall!

Northern Style Cafe Manteau Fashion

This photo is a beautiful representation of North Tehran cafe culture, which is derived directly from London/Paris cafe culture. Soon, I will post several articles I have explaining this culture in further detail. The two girls pictured here wear cutting-edge tightly fitted manteaus (striped on the right, solid black on the left), short pants (the girl on the left seems to be wearing leggings!), high heel sandals showing off perfectly polished toenails, and gorgeous silk scarves held up by sunglasses to ensure soft blond hair is revealed. I just love the blue and white houndstooth scarf on the girl on the left, as houndstooth is one of my favorite prints!

Anyway, it is my birthday tomorrow, :-) – so updates this weekend will be sporadic!

Voting in Style

You’ve seen the beautiful green rebels with “Where is My Vote” signs…but have you seen how they looked when they voted?
I have a whole series of photos of girls in cutting edge manteau style voting, and I will be posting them soon. The pics here are part of that series. For those voting in democratic countries, remember that you are enjoying a rare privilege and treasure it because the girl in these photos, sadly, cannot do so yet! (The photos below are actually from 2005, not 2009, but every election done by an undemocratic government is rigged by them to favor themselves only).

The close-up reveals a beauty with honey-colored hair decorated by a classic 2005 fringy scarf, a white fitted manteau, and a beige canvas bag with yellow stripes.

The full length view reveals that the coat is worn with cuffed jeans and turquoise-studded flip-flops, something I myself would love to have!

Manteau Fashion Expo Style

This pic is from 2008- I am not sure if such an expo could occur now. It’s too bad the whole outfit is not visible, but I do love what I am seeing- a black trench coat with huge brass buttons down the front, as well as on the sleeves, and a black scarf somewhere at the back of a tall auburn hairstyle! Definitely a fashion statement!

Striped Dress Manteau with Very Wide Sleeves

I am not sure when this photo was taken (most likely, sometime in 2007-08 when dress manteaus became famous). This coat is a blue one with brown and yellow stripes and THE widest sleeves I have EVER seen on a manteau! Jeans and a blue printed silk scarf complete the outfit.

Leopard Print Dress Manteau…and a Semblance of a Leopard Print Scarf

Leopard print is my favorite print, and I personally do not own any manteaus in it, though I do own a leopard trench coat and a leopard short-sleeved top, which is somewhat longer than normal and which I have worn with a long sleeve shirt to make it look vaguely manteau-ish. This particular dress manteau is in classic (yellow and black) leopard print and is paired with a white loosely draped scarf, pink nail polish, and many studded bracelets (in the punk fashion).

I do own leopard print scarves (about 3 of the 20 or so in my collection, in various color schemes), and a silk scarf I have is similar to the one below. The girl wears it in a gorgeous decorative way, pushed back heavily to open all of her hairstyle and neck! The beige manteau is tight, emphasizing her curves, and is paired with jeans and a beige bag with a pretty tassel decoration! This picture heartens me greatly- this is manteau style at its most pure and defiant, and the more women wear this style, the better our world will be!

Green Rebel Glove

This auburn-haired beauty shows off her love for democracy by painting a green glove on one hand and wrapping a green ribbon around the 3/4 sleeve of her black coat! Looking wonderful!

Up Close in a Short Sleeved Manteau!

This photo is awesome in a number of ways. Firstly, it is one of the only pics I have of women in manteaus posing in front of a store window with…you guessed it, more manteaus (I see a champagne-colored crushed silk coat, in particular). Second, the older lady on the left shows a black silk scarf tied low in a straight line (both halves of the scarf superimposed on each other), which holds up a tall cone-shaped, almond-colored hairstyle. And finally, there is the GORGEOUS younger lady on the right. There is a light semblance of a thin, patterned, see-through scarf wrapped around her neck and never impeding the flow of her shiny, golden hair! Not only is she beautiful but she is also wearing a black short-sleeved manteau the same way as I wear mine here in the summer- no long-sleeved or 3/4-sleeved tops underneath- arms bare completely above the elbows. The coat also boasts large brass grommets to give it a militant/gothic edginess and a brown belt to cinch it close to the body! I am absolutely amazed by her style- it is the same as mine (even down to a similar hair color!)!!!
