“Cat’s Eye” Shades and Manteaus

The “cat’s eye”-shaped sunglasses were huge with manteau style briefly in 2005-06. They were most often white-rimmed, as can be seen below on the girl in the green manteau with the tall hair cone. (Also note that the girl in the orange manteau actually pairs it with a skirt!)
They are also present in the pic below on the girl at right, with light blue rims.
After 2005, these sunglasses disappeared from manteau style….or did they? Here is a 2011 pic showing that the cat’s eye shades made a comeback. The outfits have gotten even better, as in more daring, with this girl wearing a black open cardigan over a bright patterned t-shirt, with blond hair showing out the front of a huge black scarf that is simply thrown on top of the hair (not tied or wrapped).
