Eating on the Street in Purple Pants and Striped Coat

For some reason, this photo of two girls walking down the street and eating some interesting-looking food off paper plates on a sunny spring day reminds me of vintage 2005-06 photos…could it be the striped manteau worn with rolled-up jeans and sneakers on the girl on the right? Or the baggy purple pants on the girl on the left (who also wears a grey tunic and a light green scarf showing off her curly hair- purple and green in one outfit? Oh, I love that!)? Or the happy, relaxed feel of the photo? Maybe, it’s all 3..but I do love these outfits.
