Found this older photo…and I think the gold-sequin-edged beige scarf worn open is genius! The paisley tunic is awesome too- I am just not sure what the white and black item under it is (tank top? long sleeve top? It doesn’t really match anything). Judging by the sea in the background, this could be a Caspian resort photo, which always guarantee awesome fashions.
Even though this photo does not show the full outfits, you can see the beautiful scarves, worn pushed back in two of my favorite prints – chain print (in black, white, and gold) paired with blue manteau on the left and plaid Burberry print paired with black manteau on the right. Interestingly enough,the women are shopping for purses, which look nice in their own right, especially that quilted burgundy one…
These park photos are from 2015 and are pretty cool….such as the awesome shot of a girl wearing a classical student outfit (black manteau, jeans, sneakers, and a pushed0back snood) biking confidently and proudly through the park. It’s still a rarity to see photos of girls biking in manteaus, so it’s always awesome to add to that collection.
The girl below is just walking in the park, rather than biking, but she is doing so in a stylish dark grey coat, red scarf that shows her dark hair and her neck, and black skinny pants. I think this is very nice relaxed style for strolling in a park personally…
Here they are – the final 2015 smog mask photos! These photos both involve long (below-the-knee) manteaus, which is quite rare nowadays.
A long brown coat is worn with matching boots, a smog mask, and a black scarf pushed back. Note the Azadi Tower monument on the right – this is a Northern (well, more like Northwestern) landmark.
Sometimes, when there is no smog mask, a scarf will do…the interesting thing is that the scarf is dark green and yellow, while the long coat is burgundy, the jeans are blue, the tops underneath the coat are white and green, and the boots are black. Nothing really matches, yet everything looks pretty cool together!
This is the 2nd last post with the 2015 smog mask photos…and what better way to start it than by posting a photo from the famous green and yellow fence, a site of many manteau style photos. This time, it’s a beautiful red coat worn with a thick red knit scarf and a black snood pushed back..and a smog mask (I guess it does not impede talking on the phone).
Here’s a grey and black plaid manteau worn open with a navy blue scarf thrown over one shoulder and showing off cherry-highlighted glossy hair..and a smog mask.
The girl wearing the mask is wearing a classic winter outfit – short puffy navy jacket over an olive green coat (and a pushed-back snood). Yes, it looks strange, but it is warm! Meanwhile, the blonde on the right is not wearing a mask but is wearing a classic all-black outfit and her scarf shows her hair beautifully.
Another winter outfit is shown here, with a heavy maroon fur-collared jacket over a typical black coat and pants combination. A sure way to know it’s a winter outfit is to see the combination of beige printed scarf worn on top of a snood (and the smog mask). The great thing about these is that both are still pushed back sufficiently to show off red hair.
The black pushed-back snood and smog mask are worn with a stylish brown shawl-collar coat, slightly reminiscent of this manteau. There is also a dark grey or charcoal coat worn with a beautiful blue and beige ombre pashmina scarf and no smog mask.
These are the last 2015 photos I have, and I will be posting them over a couple days because there are just so many of them! They are all of various manteau styles worn with smog masks. Luckily, in 2016, so far, there have not been such dire smog situations, and I have no smog masks for 2016 yet!
First, here’s an open black manteau worn with a nice Burberry-print plaid scarf, black skinny pants, and beige sneakers. The interesting thing is the fitted black velvet manteau on the right, worn with a pushed-back snood. I have not seen too many velvet coats out there, but it does look classy and warm.
Here’s a close-up with a white puffy coat worn open with a blue scarf and a beige trench coat worn closed with a beige printed scarf. Smog masks adorn both faces (and the lady behind them is using her scarf as one).
Sometimes, only a scarf and a smog mask together will do, as in this case, where the woman uses her wide yellow knit scarf as a smog mask, and a snood is worn up. I do like the black leggings and burgundy ankle boots worn as part of this outfit.
This looks like a typical student outfit (black manteau and snood) with an interesting plum-colored sweater thrown on top…and of course, a smog mask.
Beautiful Eiffel Tower print scarf- I just love it! I wonder if this is a quiet tribute to Paris or if it’s just worn because it is so pretty. Other than that, this classic black manteau with grey edging is worn with jeans, smog mask, and a yellow scarf around the neck for warmth.
Stylish black trench coat is complemented by a blue printed scarf, smog mask, and a patchwork-printed handbag.
Here’s a rare but interesting case of “double manteau” – an orange trench coat with ruffled panels on the chest worn over a black, thinner tunic (and a pushed-back black snood showing off dark hair as well). What can I say- the style looks just as nice as if the two coats were worn separately!
The blue sunglasses give this winter outfit, consisting of a black puffy coat worn open over blue tunic and jeans, white laced-up ankle boots, and a blue low-draped scarf, the cool vintage edge that makes it memorable and awesome.
Happy New Year -2016! Unfortunately, the last couple days of 2015 were too hectic for me to post, since my husband was sick (I am very happy to say he is feeling better now). Now, here are a few photos from Christmas 2015 of girls shopping in awesome manteau styles…

The lighting makes this beige coat with a shawl collar look slightly more yellow..worn with black leggings, a snood tucked into the collar (yet still showing hair, of course), and tall beige boots, it is perfect for winter.
This is the best of all the Christmas shopping outfits of 2015- a soft beige wool coat worn over a white knit sweater and an open white knit scarf through which golden curls flow beautifully. The glamorous eye make-up is astounding too- love it!
Yes, it’s a mundane task (shopping for some mushrooms), but even this is done with great flair here- a green manteau with white cuffs is worn with black leggings, ankle boots, and snood pushed back to show hair, of course! I especially love the vibrant shade of green on this awesome coat.
